Welcome - Updated March 10, 2013Hawthorne Press is a small company that produces open source software. It is the project of a semi-retired Consultant. This is primarily a Ruby Programming Site. Virus(Reaper's World) is the exception, it is written in C++. All the other programs are written in Ruby and were tested with the stable 1.8.5 Release of Ruby. The easiest place to get source code and documentation is "ruby-lang.org". For English speakers follow this link: ruby-lang.org/en/ Most of these programs were written to solve some problem of mine. You will not use them every day, but when you need them...ah well. The Document Section contains a work in progress. The RHG Project is translating into English the Japanese book 'Ruby Hacker's Guide', which documents many of the internal workings of the Ruby Interpreter. Due to the superior Google language translations, this version of the RHG is a complete document. The machine translated sections are marked in the documents and will be replaced with hand translations when they become available. |
